These past few days Erin over at Living in Yellow has been posting about this young boy and each post I read my heart shatters into smaller pieces for him and his family. She has recently had dozens of inquires asking how people can help this family through this time and we want to blow their minds.
Here it is:
1. Monetary Donations.
I realize that no amount of money is going to heal Isaac and his family's heartache right now.
But it can help alleviate the stresses of every day life.
All I am asking from you is a $5 donation.
I wanted to ask for $1, but this widget doesn't allow $1. Smart widget I suppose.
Listen up--thousands of you show up to this blog daily (why I am not sure, but today I am extremely grateful). If those of you who can afford $5 today are willing to give....we can make a HUGE dent in their financial needs. Here is how the money will be broken down:
The first part of the money will go towards gifts for Isaac and his two siblings. You all made it pretty clear that you want to make sure this Christmas knocks all of the others out of the water.
We want to make sure it does as well.
The second way the money will be spent is on gas gift cards. Traveling to and from the hospital can get dang expensive and we don't want them to have to worry about it.

The third portion of the funds will be used to have food delivered in from local restaurants.
Good, quality, nourishing, hot meals. At their doorstop.
Donating is simple go to Living in Yellow and donate through the widget.
2. Mail.
If you do not have the money to give, another option is to send a simple piece of paper..a handwritten note..a picture drawn from your child for Isaac. I would LOVE to see as many children as possible get involved in this project. Isaac is 6. His peers are children. Let's let Isaac know that he has other kids all over the country cheering him on. If you would like to mail Isaac or the family a card, picture, gift card, gift...please send it to:

3. Support shops who are supporting Isaac.
I am so excited about this one. I had a handful of shop owners contact me saying they want to donate a portion of their sales right now to Isaac and his family. With Christmas right around the corner, I can't think of a better way to shop AND support those in need.

4. Spread the word.
This one is so, so, important. The more people we have bringing awareness to Isaac and childhood cancer...the greater impact we can have. If you would like to write a note to Isaac and his family, share his story, share the donation button, anything that involves Isaac...link up below. This will create one landing page for his family to come to and see ALL of the other blogs world wide that are cheering on Isaac. What an awesome feeling that has to be. A simple thing that one of you geniuses thought of was to have us all take a picture holding a sign saying the same thing and post that. I love the phrase "Isaac Strong" so if you would like to participate in this, please just write it out--and take a picture holding it. It can be you, your kids, your pets...I don't care. We just want him to feel/know how much of a hero he is to all of us.
5. Pray.
I strongly believe this is the most beneficial gift you can give at this moment.
Isaac needs a miracle.
His family needs strength, wisdom, and love.
If you are the praying type....please make this a priority.
But don't just pray for Isaac...pray for all the children battling this horrific disease.
We do not know what the future holds but we can cling to the fact that we serve a very big God.
...So there you have it.
Thank you in advance for your support, love, and generosity.
Without you, none of this would be possible.
Isaac: You are a hero--We love you, we are praying for you, and we thank you for the lessons you are teaching us at this very moment. We hope you feel our support whether it be one mile away or thousands of miles across the country. You have changed us as people. Fight on warrior...fight on.
ps. If you are to tweet about any of this please use the hashtag #isaacnation or #isaacstrong.
If we could get those babies trending...well, that'd be pretty cool.
I can't think of a much more deserving hashtag than that.
pps. If you have not yet read Isaac's parents online journal, I highly encourage you to (tissues recommended). You can check it out here. Feel free to leave love there as well :)
